As one of the evaluation criteria at Ubiqum, in the final stages of the course you will be invited to perform a technical interview with a mentor from a city different than yours. This will guarantee that the interview is unbiased and that the mentor will share their first impression about the student.
The interview takes approximately 1 hour and covers 4 main areas:
- Statistics & Probability
- Analytical reasoning (Fermi problems & other brain teasers)
- Machine learning
- Programming skills (either R or Python)
Each area will be evaluated in a scale from 1 to 5 in your skills list. A score of 1 in any of the areas is considered a “Deal breaker” —the student will need to repeat the interview (partially or totally) after further preparation.
You can use this pressure as an opportunity to practice for real job interviews. Share your CV, LinkedIn profile and roles you will be applying for (Data Scientist, Data Analyst, Business Analyst…) so that your interviewer can adapt to the type of questions you will be facing in the near future.
If you want to prepare in advance you might want to take a look at the main topics covered in our course.
